How much money should I bring?
One of the best parts about a SuperClubs Super-Inclusive vacation is the fact that once you're here, you won't need to spend another penny. However, should you decide to visit some of the local attractions or take advantage of some of the outstanding bargains, you will need money, We will be happy to exchange currency on the premises. The Jamaican dollar is the legal tender in Jamaica. The Bahamian dollar is the legal tender in The Bahamas. The Brazilian Real is the currency in Brazil. Most merchants will accept US dollars or traveler's cheques, as well as major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
Are there departure taxes from SuperClubs locations?
All departing guests are required to pay a departure tax upon leaving the airport. This is a country/government tax.
Do you have anywhere I can keep valuables?
Every room at every SuperClubs resort is equipped with a safe deposit box. We advise all guests to store their jewelry, cash and other valuables in this secure place. SuperClubs cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Are there any medical facilities at SuperClubs?
A registered nurse with regular office hours is on the premises at every SuperClubs resort. In the event of a medical emergency, a qualified medical doctor is on call 24 hours a day. If a doctor is called there will be a charge. Guests with any pertinent medical information or specific medication needs are asked to notify SuperClubs in advance.
What electric current do you work on?
110 volts, 50 cycles in Jamaica and 110 volts, 60 cycles in The Bahamas, 110-volt and 220-volt in Bahia, Brazil. Plugs are of the 2-pin type. Hair dryers are provided in every room.
What are the average temperatures?
Pack light! The weather in Jamaica and The Bahamas is delightful all year long. Daytime averages: 82°f, 28°C. Night time averages: 72°F, 22°C.
The Brazilian winter is from June to August, with the coldest southern states receiving average winter temperatures of between 13 and 18°C (55 and 64°F). In summer (December to February), Rio is hot and humid, with temperatures in the high 30Cs (80Fs); the rest of the year, temperatures hover around 25°C (77°F). The northeast coast gets as hot as Rio but is less humid and stifling. In general, the highlands are less hot and humid, and are prone to summer rainfalls. The Amazon basin is the rainiest part of Brazil, and while it is humid, temperatures average a reasonable 27°C (80°F).
Do I need proof of Citizenship?
A valid passport is required for travel to all SuperClubs Resorts
destinations in the Caribbean (including Jamaica, Curacao and the Dominican
Republic), the Bahamas and Brazil.
